Lantern Productions and Reimagine Cork are looking for cast and crew for our upcoming performance for Culture Night.  Staged in Skiddy’s Castle Plaza on the North Main Street the piece will be devised by director Eoin O hAnnrachain and the cast specifically for Cork Culture Night 2016 on Friday the 16th of September. Inviting the people of Cork to reconnect with a part of their City that they may not always have the opportunity to engage with, the light-hearted story introduces 6 friends who return to their old hang-out spot for one last night together before they emigrate from Cork to start their new lives.

This is an unpaid project created in the spirit of Culture Night and Reimagine Cork as part of Lantern Productions’ Mentorship and Platforming Strand. The project is open to recent graduates (within the last 3 years) from Drama or related courses.  All rehearsals and performance will take place in Cork City and no accommodation, travel or per-diem expenses are available.

We are looking for 6 actors (male or female), an assistant director, and at least one stage manager. We are also open to volunteers in other areas that contribute to the creation of performance – design, marketing, writing etc, but as there isn’t a budget for this production those opportunities may be extremely limited. If you are interested please send your CV along with a cover letter, outlining the position(s) that you would like to be considered for, to casting@lanternproductions.ie. The closing date for receipt of CVs is Thursday the 18th of August.

Cast and crew need to be available for a devising week from Monday the 29th of August to Friday the 2nd of September, for a few evening and/or weekend rehearsals between the 2nd and the 16th of September, and for the performance on Friday the 16th of September.
